In an average month, over three million men will read Simeon’s features in at least five of the ten biggest men’s titles in Britain. More will read his commercial copy in marketing campaigns for clients as diverse as Volkswagen and Sainsbury’s. Yet more will have seen his work on the internet or in the internationally-circulated magazines he edits.
A men’s market specialist, Simeon was involved in the recent creation of the phenomenally-successful weekly sector, having contributed to dummy issues of ShortList, Nuts and Zoo. He still writes for all three titles on a regular basis and is the longest-serving contributor to established men’s monthlies FHM and Men’s Fitness. He has also written for many other titles including Maxim, The Sun, Empire and Mixmag.
Men’s media is evolving so fast that a killer concept can become a cliché within a staggeringly short length of time. To engage with men you have to innovate and constantly reinvent your approach.
Mike is the former Deputy Editor of FHM magazine, who worked at the title during the men's mag phenomenon of the late 90s. From 2000-2005, Mike was in charge of the features desk at the magazine, and was tasked with selling features that made men stop, look and listen time and time again. He won EMAP's Features Editor Of The Year title in 2002.
Since leaving FHM at the end of 2006, Mike has become a regular contributor to the Mail On Sunday's Live Night And Day magazine, and both of the male-oriented titles on the Sunday Times: InGear and PowerPlay. He has also written for the Telegraph, The Guardian, numerous magazines, and he remains a regular contributor for FHM.
